Why should we use ClassicBond EPDM to waterproof my property?
Green roofing systems are becoming an increasingly popular choice for many looking to take a more ecologically friendly approach.
Depending on your criteria and the limitations of the roof space there are 3 varieties of green roof system, all of which will require various levels of maintenance.
Intensive Green Roofs:
High maintenance – Replicates a ground level garden, require a reasonable depth of soil to grow large plants or conventional lawns.
Bio-Diverse Green Roofs:
No maintenance – designed to re–create lost brownfield sites. In the UK we have whole ecosystems reliant on unused urban sites. Bio-diverse roofs are an effective method to encourage natural flora and fauna back to our urban areas. Recreates, pre-existing ground ecosystem.
Extensive Green Roofs:
Low-maintenance – The purpose of an extensive green roof is to replace the footprint of permeable land that is used by the building. Apart from infrequent maintenance work an extensive green roof is not designed to bear foot traffic. Typically utilises a Sedum blanket for instant greening.
